Kimberley Mills, 38, was sentenced to life in prison without parole on January 13, 2026, after pleading no contest to first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of her 10-year-old son, Xavier Williams, in Lake County, Florida. The boy endured weeks of systematic torture by Mills and her boyfriend, Andre Walker, 37, suffering bruises, burn marks, and possible sexual abuse before cardiac arrest on February 22, 2025.
Hospital Incident
Mills and Walker rushed Xavier to AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, where staff performed CPR amid visible injuries; the pair fled upon learning police were en route, leaving him during resuscitation. Mills briefly returned with another child but withheld Walker’s details initially; Xavier lingered on life support until his death on March 21, 2025.
Plea and Aftermath
As part of her plea before Judge Rada, Mills must testify truthfully against Walker, whom prosecutors view as the main abuser facing the death penalty in a trial later in 2026. Xavier’s father, Keniel Williams, shared his grief over sleepless nights and irreplaceable family photos during sentencing. Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Bill Gladson emphasized accountability, noting Mills will reflect daily on the suffering she enabled. Walker remains in custody with a hearing on January 20.
