Kylai Esaw, a 27-year-old from Hardeeville, S.C., was arrested by North Charleston Police on New Year’s Eve 2025 following a domestic disturbance call at Greentree North Apartments.
Incident Details
Just before 11 a.m., officers responded to reports of Esaw carrying a firearm in a suitcase along Otranto Road; a background check revealed his prior felony conviction and an outstanding warrant in Georgia.
Charges and Detention
Police found a handgun inside the suitcase during their search, leading to charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; Esaw was transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
