News 2 is doing an all-day Toys for Tots fundraising event.

The all-day blitz ran from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 210 W. Coleman Blvd., featuring Chief Meteorologist Rob Fowler and festive attractions like Santa Claus, Star Wars characters, Miss America’s Teen, balloon animals, cookies, coffee, and a food truck. A highlight included a Moncks Corner chief taking a pie to the face live on air to celebrate a police-fire department competition winner.

How to Participate

Donors dropped off new, unwrapped toys via drive-up or on foot, with all contributions hand-delivered to kids on Christmas morning through the U.S. Marines partnership. Though the event has passed, ongoing donations may still be accepted via WCBD channels or local Marine sites—check counton2.com for updates. Great community effort aligning with your interest in Lowcountry events!
