North Charleston, South Carolina. Thousands of “No Kings” protestors gathered along Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston on Saturday, following a big assembly in Summerville earlier in the morning.

The “No Kings” campaign claims that “millions” will gather across the United States on Saturday. The protests take place amid a continuing government shutdown that threatens federal workers and services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement activities in Portland, and the Trump administration’s flirtations with using the Insurrection Act to suppress dissent.

On October 18, there were two rallies near Charleston:

North Charleston: 1-3pm at 5201 Ashley Phosphate Road; Summerville: 10a-1pm at 500 N. Main Street.
