Deputies seek for 33-year-old man last seen Sunday on James Island

Folly Beach, South Carolina — Charleston County deputies are looking for a missing and endangered 33-year-old man who was last spotted leaving his home on James Island over the weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office, Joseph Charles Miele drove away from his residence in the 1700 block of Mary Roper Lane at 9 p.m. on October 5 in a blue Toyota Prius with a Texas license plate.

The truck was discovered on Folly Beach shortly after, but it was never seen leaving the area.

Miele is described as a 6-foot-2-inch male weighing 200 pounds who has brown hair and hazel eyes.
