Dorchester County, South Carolina – The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday that a Ladson woman is in custody following an altercation at Fort Dorchester High School after hours on Thursday.
Tammie Moody Carter, 41, was arrested on Friday and charged with high and aggravated domestic violence, possession of a firearm while committing a violent felony, and possession of a weapon on school premises, according to the DCSO.
Officials said deputies arrived to the school after children had left for the day on Thursday to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. Carter arrived on school grounds with a pistol and was disarmed by the victim before attempting to attack him with her car, according to DCSO.
Carter was booked into the LC Knight Detention Center.
