The city of Charleston provides an updated storm forecast and operations

Even with the track shifting, homeowners may expect significant rain from Monday evening to Tuesday evening, with totals of 2-4 inches probable.

Operational updates:
Sandbag activities will end today, Sunday, September 28, at 5 p.m. Sandbags are available for self-service at the following sites till that time:
Hampton Park (The Peninsula): Parking is available near the ball field at Mary Murray Dr @ Ashley Ave, and at Bayview Soccer Complex (James Island) at 1051 Fort Johnson Rd, with pickup in the back.
Catholic Diocese Site (West Ashley): 1662 Ingram Rd. Please bring your own shovel, if feasible. Quantities are limited; please be courteous to neighbors.
Storm parking garage openings are postponed until Tuesday and may not be required, depending on future projections. Updates will be provided as conditions become more apparent.
City readiness measures:

Crews continue to clean drains, stage barricades, and monitor low-lying areas. Should conditions change, the city will modify its resources accordingly.
