Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Another lovely day along the Pee Dee and Grand Strand. A day of generally sunny skies will last into the evening. Most of us will be clear or mostly clear overnight. A few spots in the Pee Dee may get a little patchy fog. Tonight’s lows will range from the mid to high 60s.
As we begin the new work week, we will continue to enjoy wonderful weather. The mostly to partially sunny weather will persist. High temperatures along the Grand Strand will be in the low 80s. As you approach the Pee Dee and border belt, highs will be in the mid-80s. The pleasant weather will last much of the week. The area will get very hot and humid. Highs will finally reach the mid to upper 80s along the coast. Inland, highs will range from the upper 80s to the low 90s.
Throughout the week, we have had mostly dry weather. Southerly flow will intensify on Friday, ahead of a cold front. The cold front is expected to travel through the area on Friday and Saturday. That gives us a much-needed chance of rain. Right now, it appears that the cold front will leave the region by Saturday evening, and we should begin to dry out by Sunday.
The tropics are waking up, but Tropical Storm Gabrielle remains at sea. The National Hurricane Center is still keeping an eye on two more potential regions of interest. Stay tuned as we provide updates on them.
