Berkeley County, South Carolina – The United States Coast Guard discontinued its search for a diver in distress at Bushy Park Boat Landing on Saturday night.
The Coast Guard says they were called at 1 p.m. and asked to help with search and rescue efforts.
A helicopter was dispatched to assist and investigate, but the diver could not be located as of Saturday night.
Coast Guard officers say Berkeley County authorities will handle the incident going forward.
Fire and rescue crews from Charleston, Summerville, and Whitesville were on the scene.
