North Charleston, SC – Anisah Brown, 25, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after North Charleston police discovered a “large quantity” of drugs and firearms during a proactive patrol at the EconoLodge on Northside Drive.
Officers, aware of increased drug activity in the area, noticed a vehicle idling in the parking lot. Upon making contact with the occupant, identified as Brown, officers immediately detected the strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Based on probable cause, they conducted a search of the vehicle, which led to the discovery of a backpack containing a significant amount of illegal items.
Drugs and Firearms Found
Inside the backpack, authorities found:
39 grams of methamphetamine
37 grams of fentanyl
7 grams of cocaine
Cocaine base
16 Xanax bars
A large amount of marijuana
Additionally, officers recovered two stolen firearms from the vehicle.
Charges and Arrest
Brown was arrested on multiple charges, including:
Trafficking fentanyl
Trafficking methamphetamine
Trafficking cocaine base
Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
Possession of Schedule IV narcotics
Possession of stolen goods
Six counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime
She was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center following her arrest.
