Dallas, Texas – North and Central Texas are in for a stretch of classic summer heat this weekend, with highs reaching into the low to mid-90s and a heat index climbing as high as 105° in parts of East Texas by Sunday. While the chances of widespread storms are low, residents with outdoor plans should stay alert, as pop-up showers are possible each day through the middle of next week.

Weather Forecast

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, temperatures will remain near or just below normal through Wednesday, with heat index values between 97° and 102° for much of the region. Dallas-Fort Worth will see temperatures climb from 93° on Saturday to 97° by Wednesday, with overnight lows staying in the upper 70s.

In Waco and Killeen, similar warm temperatures are expected, with daily highs in the low 90s and limited rain chances around 20-30%.
