Known as South Carolina’s premier all-female surf contest—and the longest-running event of its kind on the East Coast—this legendary competition is all about empowering women through the stoke of surfing.
Whether you’re a seasoned shredder or a first-time competitor, the FBWC brings together girls and women of all ages and skill levels for a weekend of fun, waves, and connection. Surfers from all over the country will descend on Folly Beach to celebrate the spirit of sisterhood and strength in the water. But this event is more than just a surf competition. The FBWC is a nonprofit with a powerful mission: to uplift women through the transformative power of surfing. The weekend supports and collaborates with ocean-based organizations like Warrior Surf, Surfers Healing, Waves 4 Women, She’s On Edge, Charleston Surfrider, and others who are dedicated to mental health, healing, and confidence through surf therapy and ocean connection.
