CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) has arrested a juvenile after a search led to the discovery of approximately 285 grams of drugs and multiple firearms. The arrest was part of an investigation into drug activity, as well as stolen vehicles and firearms, that prompted the use of two search warrants in the Hickory Grove Division on March 25, 2024.
Items Seized During the Searches
During the execution of the search warrants, officers found:
- 226.9 grams of suspected cocaine
- 13.7 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 14.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- 30.9 grams of suspected marijuana
- $4,130 in U.S. currency
- 2 firearms, one of which was confirmed to be stolen
- 1 full auto conversion (switch) device
Charges
The juvenile was charged with:
- Possession of a weapon of mass destruction
- Trafficking in fentanyl and cocaine
- Possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine
- Possession of a stolen firearm
- Possession of a stolen vehicle

CMPD is continuing their investigation into the incident, as this arrest is part of a broader effort to combat drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession in the area.
