The Charleston RiverDogs 5K is set to take place on Sunday, with organizers anticipating temporary road closures in parts of downtown Charleston.
Road closures and key times
- 2:30 p.m.: First road closures begin in segments along the race route.
- 3:00 p.m.: The race officially starts.
- 4:00 p.m.: The race ends, and all roads will reopen.
Affected areas
The race will begin and end at Joe Riley Stadium, with the route passing through several downtown streets, including:
- Fishburne Street
- Hagood Avenue
- Huger Street
- Hampton Park
Traffic and access information
Road closures will occur in segments and will be lifted as runners pass through each area. While closures are in place, vehicle access to businesses and residences along the route will be limited.
Officers will be stationed along the course to assist with traffic flow and provide access to neighborhoods.
