NEW YORK — The NYPD is searching for two suspects who allegedly opened fire at the Bathgate Playground in the Bronx shortly after 5 p.m., police said Sunday.
Incident Details
According to authorities, the two men approached a group of people at the playground, and one of them fired “several rounds”. Miraculously, no one was struck by the bullets. The suspects then fled on foot before escaping in a dark-colored sedan on Bathgate Avenue.
Surveillance Footage
Police released surveillance video showing the suspects swapping sweaters as they crossed the street during their escape:
- Suspect 1: Red sweater over a black t-shirt, black pants, black sneakers
- Suspect 2: Light blue sweater over a white t-shirt, white and black pants, black sneakers
Authorities say the suspects are wanted on reckless endangerment charges.
