Frank Forshee, 65, has been charged with first-degree domestic assault, armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm after allegedly shooting a woman during an argument over her dog barking in Hillsboro, Missouri.
Details of the Incident
On Sunday, Forshee, who had been using meth and showing erratic behavior, threatened the woman with a knife before returning with a gun. He shot her in the abdomen while she was holding her dog on the bed. The woman was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds to her abdomen and calf.
Forshee’s Arrest
Forshee fled the scene and later told a family member and investigators that he would “make the news” and should be found. He was arrested on Thursday and is being held without bond. Authorities have not yet set a court date.
