An Arizona man wanted in connection with an alleged domestic violence attack was arrested at Legoland in California after months on the run, authorities said.
Suspect Arrested at Legoland
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Jason Marchesano was arrested on May 27 at Legoland in Carlsbad, California.
He is wanted in Arizona on charges of attempted second-degree homicide, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
Alleged Attack on Girlfriend
Investigators say the incident occurred on Oct. 28, 2025, in Paulden, Arizona. Marchesano allegedly strangled and restrained his girlfriend with bedsheets inside a trailer.
The woman managed to escape and reported the incident to police. Authorities said her injuries were consistent with her account, while property owners nearby told investigators they heard the couple arguing.
Investigation Led to California
After following leads in Arizona and Nevada, investigators received information that helped locate Marchesano in California.
The sheriff’s office credited cooperation between law enforcement agencies and a tip from a community member for helping track him down.
Marchesano is currently being held without bail at the Vista Detention Facility in California as a fugitive. His next court appearance is scheduled for July 2.
