A Texas man, Derek Lennon Bradley, 47, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder of his children’s mother, Casie Lynn Graves, 38. The conviction and sentence followed a trial in Orange County, where Bradley was found guilty of the September 2023 killing of Graves.
Murder of Casie Lynn Graves
On September 16, 2023, a body was discovered near railroad tracks by an employee at the International Paper facility in Orange, Texas. Authorities identified the victim as Casie Graves, a mother of four who shared two young daughters with Bradley. The cause of death was determined to be strangulation.
Investigators initially struggled with the case, but surveillance footage and witness interviews eventually pointed to Bradley’s involvement. The footage revealed his truck leaving his home around 12:30 a.m. on the night of the murder and returning shortly before 1 a.m., aligning with the time frame of Graves’ death.
