A 31-year-old Pennsylvania man allegedly destroyed several pickleball and tennis nets at two local parks after injuring his leg, police said.

Incident Details

Authorities say Saif Kaleem damaged five nets at TLC Park and Mountain View Park between May 12 and May 14. Surveillance footage obtained by the Pocono Township Police Department showed a man on crutches cutting through the nets and leaving in a white Hyundai Tucson.

Confession and Motive

Police traced the vehicle to Kaleem’s home. He allegedly confessed to:

  • Destroying one pickleball net at TLC Park
  • Destroying three pickleball nets at Mountain View Park
  • Cutting one tennis court net at Mountain View Park

Kaleem reportedly stated that his “summer was ruined” after injuring his leg during a pickleball match and admitted to taking out his frustration on the sports equipment.

Legal Status

The Pocono Township Police Department has not released information about charges or upcoming court dates for Kaleem.
