Authorities in South Carolina are investigating after a woman was discovered dead near a restaurant in Anderson County on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to reports of a body near the Captain D’s restaurant on West Shockley Ferry Road.
Officials confirmed the victim is a woman, but her identity has not yet been released. Deputies reported that there were no immediate signs of foul play at the scene.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office also responded to assist in determining the circumstances surrounding the death. Authorities have not released further details.
The investigation is ongoing.
