Police recovered a loaded machine gun and drugs during a traffic check in North Charleston

A 19-year-old man was arrested after officers recovered a machine gun and marijuana during a traffic stop in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Traffic Stop Details

Jhedyn Nasir TY’Britnis Linder, of Walterboro, was pulled over Tuesday morning on Palmetto Commerce Parkway for speeding 68 mph in a 45 mph zone. An officer observed an object being thrown from the passenger side of the vehicle during the stop.

Weapons and Drugs Recovered

Officers recovered the tossed object and discovered a backpack containing 118 grams of marijuana and a machine gun with a switch and a 33‑round magazine loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition.

Charges and Booking

Linder faces charges of unlawful transport of a machine gun, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, speeding, and littering. He was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
