A Florida man is accused of stabbing his grandmother multiple times after becoming angry over being asked to help bring in groceries on Mother’s Day.
Grandson Accused in Mother’s Day Stabbing
Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Keo Nottage Jr.
Authorities said the incident happened at a home in West Palm Beach after family members returned from grocery shopping for a Mother’s Day dinner.
Argument Escalated Inside Home
According to investigators, a cousin asked Nottage to help carry groceries into the house.
Police said the request led to an argument, with the cousin later hearing screams for help from inside the residence.
When the cousin returned inside, he allegedly saw Nottage holding a kitchen knife while their grandmother lay on the floor.
Victim Stabbed Multiple Times
Authorities said the grandmother was stabbed 11 times during the attack.
Police said the cousin fled the home after Nottage allegedly chased him outside while armed with the knife and making threats.
Victim Hospitalized, Suspect Arrested
The grandmother was taken to a hospital in critical condition and underwent surgery.
Nottage was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
He remains in jail without bond and is scheduled to return to court on June 9, 2026.
