Texas man arrested after North Charleston traffic stop shows stolen vehicle and warrants

A Texas man was arrested in North Charleston on Thursday after police noticed him driving a vehicle without a license plate.

Arrest Details

Bobby Ray Taylor, 28, of Houston, Texas, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen goods. He also had several outstanding warrants from nearby agencies, including a warrant for attempted armed robbery from the Summerville Police Department.

Incident Overview

Police initiated a traffic stop on Taylor’s vehicle after spotting that it had no license plate while traveling eastbound on Rivers Avenue. During the stop, Taylor allegedly presented a Texas license plate found inside the vehicle but was unable to provide any registration or insurance documents.

Investigation and Additional Charges

A records check revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Texas. Further investigation also uncovered that Taylor had active warrants from multiple nearby agencies. As a result, additional holds were placed on him for the other outstanding warrants.

Taylor was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center following his arrest.
