An Arizona woman has been arrested after police said she intentionally ran over and killed a man she met through a dating app in Phoenix.

Woman Charged In Fatal Hit-And-Run

According to the Phoenix Police Department, 30-year-old Mikela Antresa Bahe is facing charges including second-degree murder, vehicle theft, and leaving the scene of a fatal crash.

Police said the incident happened on May 3 in the parking lot of an apartment complex near 16th Street and Maryland Avenue.

Victim Died After Being Run Over

Investigators said 52-year-old Norris L. Taft was struck by an SUV and later died at a hospital.

Surveillance footage reportedly showed the victim standing in front of the SUV and signaling for the driver to stop before the vehicle accelerated, hit him, and drove over him before leaving the scene.

Pair Met Through Dating App

Police said Taft and Bahe had met online through the MokoSpace dating app and met in person earlier that day.

According to investigators, Taft later texted a family member claiming he had been “catfished” because the woman did not look like her profile photo. Police said he was trying to take her home or end the date before the incident happened.

Suspect Arrested In Flagstaff

Authorities tracked Bahe to Flagstaff, where she was arrested by local police.

Investigators said Bahe admitted she had been with Taft earlier in the day but later stopped answering questions during an interview.

She is currently being held in the Maricopa County Jail.
