CHARLESTON, S.C. — The first weekend of the annual Lowcountry Strawberry Festival wrapped up on Sunday, drawing families to Boone Hall Plantation for a weekend full of strawberry picking, rides, and family-friendly fun. The festival continues through May 3, with gate hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

What’s Included at the Festival

Admission to the festival includes access to the event grounds, which feature complimentary shows, entertainment, a petting zoo, photo opportunities, arts and crafts, and food vendors. Visitors can explore and enjoy the festive atmosphere, filled with activities for all ages.

Rides and Wristbands

For those seeking a thrill, festival rides are available, but a separate wristband is required for unlimited access to all mechanical rides for a single day. The minimum height requirement for most rides is 36 inches.

Strawberry Picking and More

Attendees can also enjoy strawberry picking at Boone Hall Farms from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on festival days, as long as there are ripe berries available. Once the fields are picked clean for the day, the fields will close until the next opportunity.

The festival continues next weekend, May 1-3, offering another chance for families to experience the joy of the Lowcountry’s beloved strawberry harvest.
