The much-loved Lowcountry Strawberry Festival is back, bringing fresh berries, fun activities, and family-friendly entertainment to the beautiful town of Mount Pleasant. Held at the famous Boone Hall Plantation, this annual event is a perfect way to enjoy the spring season with friends and family.
What to Expect at the Strawberry Festival
The festival will take place over two weekends. The first weekend is on April 26, followed by the second weekend from May 1 to May 3. Each day, the event will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., giving visitors plenty of time to explore and enjoy all the attractions.
One of the biggest highlights is strawberry picking. Visitors can pick fresh strawberries from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., as long as berries are available. Since the strawberries are freshly grown, the fields may close early if all ripe berries are picked for the day.
Here’s a quick look at strawberry prices:
| Container Size | Price |
|---|---|
| 2-quart box | $11 |
| 1-gallon box | $20 |
If you don’t want to pick your own strawberries, you can buy pre-picked baskets from Willie’s Roadside Market or from berry stands inside the festival area.
Fun Activities for Everyone
The festival is not just about strawberries. It offers a wide range of fun activities for all age groups. Whether you’re visiting with kids or friends, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Some of the popular attractions include:
- All-American petting zoo
- Exciting pig races
- Giant slides and obstacle courses
- Playground fun at Boone Hall Farms
- Live performances on stage
- Pony rides (extra charges apply)
There will also be plenty of delicious food stalls where you can try festival treats. While some farm attractions close at sunset, rides, games, and food stalls may stay open longer depending on the crowd.
