Jane Elizabeth Batten, 62, from Summerville, faces two counts of cruelty to children tied to her time as a teacher at Williams Memorial Elementary School in Dorchester School District Four.
She reportedly used unnecessary physical force on the student, prompting a sheriff’s office probe.
Arrest and Status
Batten surrendered voluntarily Thursday at the L.C. Knight Detention Center without resistance.
She has since been released on bond after a bond court appearance.
