North Charleston Police arrested Jala Nysharay Walker, 26, on Friday after she turned herself in on warrants for five counts of financial identity fraud.
Fraud Details
A victim reported in January that Walker had unauthorizedly used her personal information to secure five loans totaling over $49,000 in 2025. Court records reveal this isn’t Walker’s first allegation; she was previously out on bond in a separate case for using another’s identity to obtain a loan exceeding $6,000.
Booking and Status
Walker was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center following her surrender. The case highlights ongoing efforts by local authorities to combat identity theft in the community.
