Police are looking for a man who stole and used credit cards during West Ashley vehicle break-ins.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect accused of using a stolen credit card following a series of car break-ins in West Ashley.

The Charleston Police Department said the investigation began after multiple vehicle break-ins were reported in the West Ashley area last November.

Investigation Into Car Break-Ins

During the investigation, officers determined that a credit card had been stolen during the break-ins and later used several times.

Police identified the suspect as 33-year-old Justin Tyshad Chisolm.

Charges Filed

Chisolm is wanted on charges of:

  • Financial transaction card theft
  • Two counts of financial transaction card fraud

Authorities say he allegedly stole the card and used it multiple times following the vehicle break-ins.

Suspect Description

Police describe Chisolm as approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing around 185 pounds.

Officials advise the public not to approach him. Anyone who sees Chisolm is urged to call 911 immediately.
