Four individuals were arrested in connection with a January 23, 2026, shooting at the Econo Lodge on Glenwood Drive in northwest Charlotte, N.C., stemming from a domestic dispute that escalated into gunfire.

Incident Details

Officers first responded to a larceny from auto call on Philemon Avenue, linking an abandoned Chevrolet Cobalt—riddled with bullet holes—to the hotel shooting less than an hour earlier. Surveillance showed a Toyota RAV4 and Mazda 3 with occupants firing into the Cobalt, the victim’s room, and an adjacent unoccupied room; eight 9mm shell casings were recovered at the scene. Police stopped the Mazda nearby, apprehending all four after one fled on foot, and seized a Taurus LCP 9mm, Taurus G3C, and Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm handgun.
