Charleston, South Carolina – Four people were rescued from the Charleston jetties after their sailboat went aground.

The Charleston Police Department Harbor Patrol Unit and the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol recently responded to a distress call from a vessel near Charleston Harbor.

According to officials, the four occupants became stranded on the rocks when the sailboat began to take on water.

“Officers from both agencies worked together to quickly locate the individuals who had deployed a life raft and safely transport them aboard rescue vessels.” Fortunately, all four people were uninjured,” Charleston Police authorities said.
