The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian hit-and-run that occurred early Saturday morning.
At 5:11 a.m., the incident occurred on South Carolina Highway 375, near Gibson Road.
According to Master Trooper Hannah Davidson, a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north on SC Highway 375 when it collided with a pedestrian in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead.
The Williamsburg County Coroner’s Office has yet to release the pedestrian’s name.
