Berkeley County deputies are working to identify victims of storage theft

Berkeley County, South Carolina — Deputies in Berkeley County are investigating several thefts at a Summerville storage facility and attempting to locate potential victims.

During an investigation, deputies discovered considerable amounts of stolen material thought to have been taken from Prime Storage facilities at 2248 N. Main Street in Summerville.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is working to locate potential victims and return the property to its correct location.

If you rented a storage unit at the property within the last 18 months, BCSO recommends checking for stolen things and reporting any thefts to the sheriff’s office at 843-719-4412.

“We want to make sure every victim has the opportunity to recover their belongings,” Sheriff Duane Lewis stated. “By checking your unit and reporting any missing property, you can help our investigators in holding those responsible accountable.”
