Charleston, South Carolina – The Citadel has been named the “Best Regional University in the South” by US News and World Report for the second year running.
The Military College of South Carolina was picked from a list of over 100 public and private universities in 12 states. Furthermore, the college was named the Best Public University in the South for the 15th consecutive year.
“These honors reflect the discipline, commitment, and camaraderie that distinguishes our institution, and they are a direct result of the dedication demonstrated by our cadets, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and supporters,” stated The Citadel President Gen. Glenn Walters, USMC (Ret.), ’79.
Individual academic programs at the school were also nationally recognized, with the School of Engineering ranking 14th and The Citadel’s business and computer science programs receiving places.
