You may now help determine which sticker individuals will walk out with following early voting in this fall’s municipal election.

According to officials from the Charleston County Board of Voter Registration and Elections, 12 finalists advanced to a public vote after being selected from 150 entries.

“Each year, this contest shows us how creative and civic-minded our students are,” stated Executive Director Isaac Cramer. “It’s inspiring to see young people connect with the importance of voting through their art, and we can’t wait for the community to help select this year’s winning designs.”

People can vote by going to the Charleston County Elections Facebook page and leaving a like, love, or wow remark for their favorite design.

Voting is open until noon on September 26. The three designs from each grade group with the most votes will be declared the champions.

These designs will be printed on a limited amount of stickers that will be distributed during the early voting period for the November 4 municipal elections.

In addition, the winning artists in each age category will receive an annual membership to the Gibbes Museum of Art in downtown Charleston, as well as a gift certificate to Charleston Craft and Canvas.
