Beaufort County, South Carolina — A collision occurred in Beaufort County that injured one person and claimed the life of another.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) reported that the incident occurred at the crossroads of Hwy 278 and Sun City Boulevard in Okatie. A 2014 Nissan Sentra was headed west on the highway when it collided with a 2015 Acura heading east.
Both automobiles collided in the intersection. Two individuals were sent to the hospital for additional treatment.
The occupant of the Nissan vehicle died as a result of their injuries.
Officials have not announced the identification of the deceased individual.
