A York County man has been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison for his involvement in a drug-trafficking scheme. Eric Michael Deon Brown, 37, was sentenced after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 400 grams of fentanyl.

The inquiry discovered that Brown was selling drugs derived from a bigger drug trafficking operation based in the Rock Hill and Charlotte areas. The organization was renowned for supplying cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and pills laced with fentanyl to imitate prescription Oxycodone tablets.

Brown received fentanyl and fentanyl-laced tablets from other members of the plot. His punishment, imposed by US District Judge Mary Geiger Lewis, includes 168 months in prison and five years of court-ordered supervision. There is no parole in the federal system.
