A new safe haven for survivors of domestic violence and violent crimes is opening in the Lowcountry. On Tuesday, the Palmetto Hope Network announced the launch of its newest shelter, designed to provide immediate safety and long-term support for women in crisis.

Shelter Features

The new 4,000-square-foot facility includes:

Five bedrooms with seven beds

Two full bathrooms for residents

Two offices with an additional full bathroom for staff and services

The space will serve as a confidential refuge where women can begin rebuilding their lives while accessing professional resources.

Support Beyond Shelter

In addition to offering safe housing, the shelter will help survivors connect with counseling, legal services, and recovery programs, giving them the tools needed for a fresh start.

Protecting Survivors

For safety reasons, the location of the shelter is not disclosed. This ensures privacy and protection for anyone seeking help.
