NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Mynor Lopez-Sorto has been arrested in connection with a 2023 domestic violence incident and is facing second-degree domestic violence charges.

Lopez-Sorto, 27, was arrested Wednesday by the Summerville Police Department and later transferred to the North Charleston Police Department’s custody. The arrest stems from an alleged assault that occurred in July 2023 at the home he shared with his then-girlfriend.
According to North Charleston police, Lopez-Sorto allegedly pushed the woman into a glass front door, resulting in a laceration to her elbow, which required stitches. Following the incident, Lopez-Sorto reportedly left the scene before authorities arrived.
Legal Action
Lopez-Sorto has been booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center and faces charges of second-degree domestic violence. The case remains under investigation.
