According to the Lake City Police Department, officers responded around 5 p.m. on March 27 to reports of suspicious individuals near Elm Street and Spruce Street.

Police have charged two men in connection with the incident:

  • Travis Marquise Major, 33
  • Ty’Quavious Washington, 18

Major:

  • Two counts of attempted murder
  • Felon in possession of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
  • Delivery of a pistol to a minor

Washington:

  • Three counts of attempted murder
  • Possession of a weapon during a violent crime

Juveniles Involved

Authorities say the situation involved several juveniles on both sides:

  • Three juvenile suspects were involved
  • Four juvenile victims were identified
  • Names have not been released due to their ages

Investigators allege that Major provided firearms to the juveniles before the shooting and collected them afterward.
