Parker’s Kitchen, a convenience store chain headquartered in Savannah, Georgia, has reached a significant milestone. The retailer’s 100th location opened on April 9 at 107 Sawmill Centre Drive in Summerville, South Carolina.
“This is our fourth new store this year, and our 100th retail location! Reaching 100 stores was the result of nearly 50 years of dedication, hard work, and passion—and we couldn’t have done it without our incredible team,” Ted Sadowski, senior vice president of Parker’s Kitchen, wrote on LinkedIn.
The retailer will host a free event on April 23 to commemorate the opening of its 100th store at 1750 Grove Point Road in Savannah, Georgia. The event will include special giveaways, photos with the retailer’s mascot Chewy, a live DJ booth, and more.
As growth remains a top priority, the convenience-store retailer has made several leadership changes.
Brandon Hofmann was appointed CEO in March, succeeding Greg Parker, the company’s founder and CEO for the previous 50 years. The convenience store chain also appointed John Rudolfs as president and chief financial officer.
Hofmann, who is also in charge of the company’s expansion into new markets such as Jacksonville, Florida, Columbia, South Carolina, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, told CSP that “we are building 25 stores per year and employing 25 employees per store, so we are hiring 625 employees every year for new locations.”
In November, the retailer closed a $900 million syndicated credit facility, allowing it to expand its geographic footprint.
- Parker Cos. is ranked No. 86 on CSP’s 2024 Top 202 list of U.S. convenience store chains by store count.
Parker’s Kitchen began in 1976 as a one-store operation in Midway, Georgia, and now employs over 1,700 people and processes over one million transactions per week.
