A Wisconsin man has been charged with killing his mother in Eau Claire.
Incident Details
On Friday, May 22, officers responding to a 911 call found 56-year-old Lisa M. Bragg-Hurlburt with multiple stab wounds at her home. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alleged Crime
Police say 27-year-old Michael J. Hurlburt told investigators he asked his mother to take him to Dairy Queen for one final meal before killing her. He allegedly stabbed Lisa about 40 times to “make a statement to the rest of the family,” then called 911 to report the homicide.
Charges
Michael Hurlburt has been charged with first-degree murder. His plea has not been entered, and his attorney declined to comment.
