A Nevada woman has pleaded guilty in the fatal shooting of a friend during a late-night photo shoot involving firearms.
Woman Pleads Guilty
Allysandra Blea, 20, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and kidnapping in connection with the August 2025 death of 23-year-old Mark Gaughan in Las Vegas.
Blea had originally been charged with murder before accepting a plea agreement.
Fatal Shooting During Photo Session
According to prosecutors, Gaughan was taking photos of Blea while she posed in a Halloween costume and held a firearm.
A witness told investigators the group had moved outside to continue taking pictures when a gunshot rang out. Gaughan was struck in the neck and collapsed.
Emergency responders arrived after Blea called 911 and reported an accidental shooting, but Gaughan died at the scene.
Investigation Details
Court records indicate that Blea was upset after learning Gaughan had referred to her as his girlfriend, despite her not viewing the relationship in that way.
Prosecutors also cited social media photos showing Blea posing with firearms and described her as having a strong interest in guns.
Investigators said questions remained about how the firearm became loaded before the shooting.
Sentencing Scheduled
As part of the plea agreement, Blea admitted to causing Gaughan’s death without intending to kill him.
She is scheduled to be sentenced on July 29.
