A Wisconsin man has been charged with attempted homicide after authorities say he broke into a woman’s home and stabbed her multiple times.

Woman Stabbed Inside Home

According to Green Bay police, officers responded to a stabbing call on Tuesday and found a 39-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound to the chest.

Investigators identified the suspect as 30-year-old Justin Thomas Bacon, who allegedly fled the scene on a bicycle.

Suspect Allegedly Accused Woman of Hurting Children

Witnesses told police that Bacon had been visiting a neighbor when he allegedly heard the woman yelling at one of her children.

Authorities say he then went to the woman’s home, where the attack occurred.

The victim later told police that Bacon repeatedly threatened to kill her during the incident.

Arrested After Search

Police located Bacon about an hour later. Investigators said he was found with clothing that appeared to have blood on it.

According to court documents, Bacon denied involvement in the stabbing and said he did not know the victim.

Facing Serious Charges

Bacon has been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and burglary.

He is being held in the Brown County Jail on a $750,000 cash bond and is scheduled to return to court on July 2.
