FLORENCE, S.C. — Tayvone Peterson, 20, was arrested after two people were injured in a shooting early Thursday morning in Florence.
Incident Details
Police responded around 1 a.m. to the 300 block of Chase Street following reports of shots fired. A large crowd had gathered near the scene when officers arrived. They found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims received medical treatment and are expected to recover.
Suspect and Charges
After an investigation, Peterson was identified as the suspect. Officers located him following a brief foot pursuit and took him into custody. He faces multiple charges, including:
- Four counts of attempted murder
- Discharging firearms into a dwelling
Peterson is being held at the Florence County Detention Center without bond.
