DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A 20-year-old Summerville man was arrested after a juvenile runaway from Lexington County was found in Dorchester County, authorities reported Thursday, May 14. The suspect faces multiple charges related to sexual exploitation and misconduct.
Discovery of the Runaway
The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) was notified by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) regarding a runaway juvenile believed to be in Dorchester County. Detectives from DCSO’s Criminal Investigations Division safely located the juvenile.
Charges and Arrest
Quintero Rolando Eugene Felder, 20, of Summerville, was charged with:
- Second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor
- First-degree sexual exploitation of a minor
- Third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor
Felder remains in custody at the L.C. Knight Detention Center.
Investigation Details
Detectives determined that the juvenile had met Felder online and was picked up by him early in the morning on Friday, May 8. Following the execution of a search warrant and investigation, Felder was arrested.
Sheriff Sam Richardson of DCSO stated, “Through the strong partnership between the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office, we were able to quickly locate the juvenile and hold an alleged sexual predator accountable. We remain committed to pursuing those who prey on minors and ensuring they are brought to justice.”
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation remains active, and additional criminal charges are expected to be sought by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Office.
