A North Charleston man was arrested after allegedly robbing a woman at gunpoint inside a motel.
Incident Details
On Thursday, officers responded around 12:45 p.m. to the Charleston Heights Motel after a victim reported being robbed inside a room. The suspect reportedly displayed a beige handgun and demanded money, taking cash and a phone.
Arrest and Evidence
36-year-old Jemerous Tovan Gadsden was located in another motel room. Officers recovered cash matching the victim’s report and the beige handgun used in the robbery.
Charges
Gadsden was charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, felony possession of a firearm, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. He was taken to a local detention center.
