Wanted Myrtle Beach man is caught after leading cops on his second chase in seven months

A wanted Myrtle Beach man was arrested early Wednesday after deputies said he fled a traffic stop, marking his second pursuit in seven months.

Man Arrested After Traffic Stop

The Horry County Sheriff’s Office said deputies located 55-year-old Billy Hanna around 5:30 a.m. on Church Street in Myrtle Beach.

Hanna reportedly did not pull over when deputies attempted to stop him, prompting a brief chase before he returned to a nearby residence, where he was taken into custody.

Charges and Background

Hanna was wanted on a bench warrant after failing to appear in court on May 19. He was transported to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and charged with failure to stop for blue lights.

Deputies noted that Hanna had a previous arrest on Oct. 7, 2025, following a multi-agency chase that began in Myrtle Beach and ended in the Cherry Grove area.

At that time, he was served with a warrant for obtaining goods under false pretenses and also faced charges of grand larceny and failure to stop for blue lights.
