A 6-year-old boy in Michigan is home after losing both arms in a dog attack that happened in March.
Details of the Attack
Romell Frazier Jr. was attacked by two family dogs on March 19. The injuries were severe, leading to the amputation of both arms. He also suffered infections and had to undergo multiple surgeries while in the ICU.
Hospital Recovery
Romell spent nearly two months in the hospital. His legs were also injured, and he had to relearn how to walk. Because of the amputations, he can no longer feed himself, and his mother, Preshauna Jones, now helps him with daily tasks.
Ongoing Care and Support
Romell will need prosthetic arms and additional medical procedures. A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help cover his recovery costs and has raised over $25,000 so far.
Family Statement
Jones shared her heartbreak, saying, “Everything was OK, and in the blink of an eye, everything is just different now.” She continues to support her son as he adjusts to his new reality.
