A Kentucky man will spend years behind bars after admitting he attacked a real estate agent during a home showing and threatened to kill him.
Defendant Pleads Guilty
Keith Rowe, 71, pleaded guilty Friday to several charges, including:
- Robbery
- Unlawful imprisonment
- Terroristic threatening
- Assault
Officials said Rowe was sentenced to 15 years, which includes prison time followed by probation and home incarceration after release.
Attack Happened During Lake House Showing
According to investigators, the incident happened on June 18, 2025, at a lake house in Falls of Rough.
Authorities said Rowe attacked an elderly real estate agent while touring a home listed for $225,000.
Suspect Allegedly Demanded Ownership of Home
Investigators said Rowe forced the victim to write up paperwork signing the property over to him.
Police said Rowe claimed the home was intended for his niece.
Authorities also alleged that Rowe threatened to “beat” the victim if he refused to hand over his cellphone.
Victim Threatened With Rope and Knife
According to investigators, Rowe forced the victim to go to another home across the street where the realtor’s computer was located.
Police said Rowe warned the victim not to flee and allegedly threatened to drag him behind a four-wheeler using a rope attached to the vehicle.
While the victim worked on the paperwork, authorities said Rowe pulled out a pocketknife and threatened to kill him after the documents were completed.
Realtor Escaped and Sought Help
Investigators said the victim escaped after handing over the paperwork and drove directly to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the man arrived bruised and bloodied.
Rowe later turned himself in after being located by family members.
Defendant Banned From County
Norman Chaffins said Rowe is prohibited from entering Grayson County and cannot contact the victim unless ordered by the court.
